This gentleman portrays the historical figure throughout the historic district of Philadelphia in short, educational street plays that expose visitors to historic events and background of the times.  I believe this gentleman can also be seen in a variety of advertisements and publicity images for the city.  He bears a considerable likeness to the portraits of Franklin and as evidence with these images, has an incredibly expressive face.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]>

Built high on a hill just north of downtown Philadelphia, it was meant to appear as a foreboding fortress in order to discourage crime.  It was used continuously through 1970 when it was abandoned.  During it's tenure, thousands of prisoners were locked up here including Al Capone.  Terribly interesting place.  This was one of the initial two-story cell blocks.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]>
